Overview - Step 1



From this window you make choices about the type of analysis you are about to do.  It is from this window that you enter information CPA will use in subsequent steps.  Making your choices is easily done using drop down menu boxes.  Subsequent choices are either limited or expanded based upon the previous choice.  

Your first decision, or choice, is selecting the Analysis Type. There are three options.



1. Mobile Phone File.  This option allows you to process a data file containing memory dump of the phone's internal storage area.  This data file may be referred to as a flash file and was most likely created by the acquisition tool of your choice.

2. SIM Card. This option allows you to process XML files created with Becker & Partner's Forensic Card Reader after acquiring the data from a SIM card. 

3. Acquire Device.  This option allows you to launch your acquisition tool.
