Flash Type

You have a choice of three different Flash Types.



Flash File:
A data file consisting of a memory dump obtained by an acquisition tool.  This file could be the result of either a logical or physical acquisition.

NOR:
  • NOR (a Boolean logic term that stands for "not-or").
  • NOR-type memory is normally associated with the on-board portion of memory in phones.
  • Commonly used to store executable code, can store data. 

    NAND:
  • NAND (Boolean logic term that stands for "not-and")
  • NAND-type memory is normally associated external memory cards.
  • Commonly used to store executable code and data.    

    Note that some phones may use a combination of NOR and NAND memory.
