Manual Activation
Manual activation allows you to activate Cell Phone Analyzer (CPA) without having the computer that CPA is installed on connected to the Internet. The manual activation process does require you to communicate with .com so you will either need access to a different computer that does have email capability or access to a telephone in order to request an activation code.
Following is the procedure for manually activating CPA.
First install CPA. After installation and running CPA the first time you are presented with the Software Activation message window shown below. Note that it is reported that the Validation Server is not detected (because you don't have an Internet connection to go out and find it) and that you need to request an activation code by phone or email. The Manual Activate option is preselected in this case so simply click the Continue button to go to the next step.

Shown below is the Manual Activation dialog window that appears. Note the Activation Request Code was generated during the install routine and is listed at the top of this window. Enter the serial number (including the dashes) that you received when you purchased the software as well as your name, email address, and company name--this information is required. If you don't have a company name then enter something like NONE or N/A. Once you have filled in the boxes you have three options available.
I Have My Activation Code - Enter it now... This option is not applicable until after you have received your activation code from .com so you would not choose this option at this time.
Request My Activation Code Using Email. An Internet connection is required for this option. This option will attempt to open the installed email program to send an email message.
Save Activation Code Request To File. Use this option if no Internet connection is available. This option creates a text file with the information you entered into the Manual Activation dialog window. Make note of it's name and path. Once the file has been saved you can either send an email message to cpa@.com and attach the text file or call .com at (541) 359-2923. CPA will shut down after you have saved the text file.

After you receive your activation code from .com restart CPA. If the computer is still not connected to the computer you will see the same message and dialog windows as mentioned above. Confirm that your serial number, name, email, and company name was properly remembered. Then choose the I Have My Activation Code - Enter it now... option. Note, make sure you enter the activation code and not the serial number.

You will then be presented with the below-shown dialog window. After you have entered your activation code click on the Continue button. You will get the message window shown below. Click on the OK button to continue.

You will then get the below-shown message that it may take a short time to perform the activation process.

Once the activation process is finished you will get the message window shown below.

You will then get a message stating that your registration information has been saved in a file in your installation directory.

You may see the message dialog box shown below after activation. Of course, this update procedure requires a live Internet connection so if there is no connection, most likely the reason you are doing a manual activation, then click on the NO button. If there is an Internet connection then click on the YES button to check for updates.
YES - Shuts down CPA, starts the default browser, checks the update server for updates, and resets the counter for how may days to wait before asking to again check for updates.
NO - Does not check the update server, does not resets the counter, and will ask if you to check for updates the next time you start CPA.
CANCEL - Does not check the update server, resets the counter, and will not ask if you to check for updates the next time you start CPA.
